Hope In The Darkness – Concert

Han Geng has fully embarked on the promotions of his 2nd album “Hope In The Darkness”. To kick-off the promotions he will be holding the first stage of his 2012 World Tour Concert at the MasterCard Centre (formerly Wukesong Culture & Sports Center)  in Beijing on the 28th of July. The stadium has a capacity of 18,000 and covers an area of 63,000 square metres.

Beijing Wukesong Culture & Sports Center was part of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Surrounded by a pool, vertical ribbons of undulating perforated metal envelop the large glass structure, extending from the top of the building to below the surface of the water.

In order to stir up some excitement for his fans, Han Geng had released a video clip on the on-going rehearsals that were held daily. The media were also invited to watch him rehearse with his team of dancers and at the same time answering questions posed by them. Han Geng’s reply to a question of whether he will be worried if there will be a heavy downpour on the day of his concert, just like the other day, when Beijing had the worst floods in 60 years – he will buy more boats..!! hahaha!!

The next leg of his World Tour will be in Shanghai on August 18. The press conference will be held on July 30th. in Shanghai.

Here is the video clip on behind the scene photo-shoot for Life Style Magazine..

For your eyes only..!!

Han Geng is also trying his hands in  movie making like music videos. He cannot stay still even for a moment. He is like a little child always looking for new things to accomplish and learning new things. So we now have the just released MV of his song Betrayal Of The Soul, some parts of it are done by him.

Han Geng kicks off world concert tour at Beijing on Olympics Day. Despite heavy rain and flood in China, all tickets were sold out in advance, even after the agent increased another 1000 seats. More than 12000 people traveled from all over China and some from abroad to see this show that he prepared for two years. Flights were delayed. Trains stopped at flooded area. Buses were cancelled. Government warned that concert might be closed if heavy rain leads to flood. But fans still are traveling there to meet him. Six hours before the show time, the square before MasterCard Center is already jamed with exciting fans, forming a market of fan made suverneers and the Sun is out! Let the Geng party begins!
